? About heigth of motor on transom

I would like to know if my motor is at the right height on the transom before I add the new transom board? Should it be raised or is it ok where it sits?

IMO it would probably be fine right where it is but if you really wanted to, you could probably raise it about 1" and get a slight speed gain but more importantly, better bottom/stump clearance.
 
id raise it so ur cav plate is bout a half inch above level with hull. but ur probally good there as long as ur not concerned with performance so much...
 
Ok thanks I might add a jack plate later in my build. This boat is going to be doing a lot of duck hunting so it will hit stumps and log. Thanks for the input.
