Has anyone made their own anchor pole mounts for a tin boat? Im looking to be able to pound a stake into the riverbed when beached on shore or anchored in shallow water. I know theres a ton of products out there, but I'm not really interested in $45 per side plus the cost of poles.

if you don't mind drilling some holes, an eye bolt thru the hull would work, or a U shaped clamp as well. Yeah, there are some pricey gadgets, but could also just tie the anchor pole to a davit or seat post and it would work as well.

I made a set for my 16 foot flat. Stainless brackets and pvc pipe, for a post a bought some 3/4 inch fiberglass tree stakes 8 foot long, they work great so far(2 years). Boat is in storage now will get pics when I get over there. Pm me a number and I can text pics

I've been looking for a local nursery that carries the ones like Cole posted the link to so I could avoid the shipping and doubling the cost but, no luck so far. :(

Did you drive up and buy just one? I wouldn't know what to do with the other 9 in the bundle. You have to buy in multiples of ten online anyway.

Yup thats where I got mine. I picked them up in Dyersville Ia. I had to buy 10 but you would not believe how fast you will use them have sold all but 2. Just have to make more brackets and they will be gone too. Not trying to sell on here just some info for ya all. If you buy ten I will bet you wont get stuck with them

I have an insider, my wife runs a winery and they order a ton of stuff from them. Some how she worked out to get a me a free sample of just one. So I didn't even have to pay for it,

Pipe anchors were a hot item on our local forum a couple of years ago. People started calling them portable trees. A couple of guys designed a split bracket that pivoted on on side and had a pivoting screw clamp on the other side. I could not find that bracket but I did locate one of the threads with some of ideas that were floating around.
