I picked up a springfield traveler seat yesterday to try on my seat box. I didn't like it and am returning it today. Not a lot of padding and makes it too short overall.

What I was wondering if anyone has one of the springfield xxl camo folding seats? I found them on their website but just a few places online that carry them. $139.00 was the cheapest. The big name stores didn't seem to carry that model and I was wondering how different it was from a wise seat if any.

I had some of those travelers on my last boat and didn't care for them much either. That xxl folding seat looks like a rebranded Wise seat with an inflated price tag. Ebay seems to be selling them at about half that price.

Read closer, those are damaged. That's why they are cheap.

I was just trying to help, but if the $135 seat is the one you want then that's the one you should get because in the end, you're the one that needs to be happy with the seat.

For some reason I see several bad reviews for the wise seats plus I checked them out at BPS and didn't care for them. Who knows if the springfield is rebranded or not but I was trying to stay away from wise. Thats why I was looking towards the springfield. Now cabelos big camo seat has popped up and it is getting good reviews. Maybe it's a rebranded springfield? I don't know. The hinges look different from the wise though.
 
If I were looking for seats with a budget like that, I'd be looking at Tempress. They've always had great reviews and I've never seen anyone that's had them talk bad about them on here. I'm guessing your looking for the camo as well but that could always be solved with a camo cover to slip over the seat.

I'm never sure what model tempress people talk about but I've looked at them and I'm a pretty big guy and the design looks to me like it won't hold up on the back and the plastic sides that stick up on the bottom. (wide loaad) First time I lean back it looks like they could collapse. But, I have never sat in one so I might be way off base.
 
I know what you mean, I'm always second guessing my choices when it comes to buying a new seat. I wish there was some place you could go and sit in all of them and find the one you're satisfied with. Sorta like a car dealer and their demo's. :mrgreen:
