Newbie here! Have a question for all you jon boat gurus, looking to build a bassin rig for my son and myself. Hes 12, in the mnext few years this will be his first boat. What do you think of a Lowe 14/36 rivited (new) for a decked boat? By the way, it will be an electric rig for now.

Are you using a trailer, or sliding it in the back of a truck?
If it's on a trailer I'd go with a 1448; It has more room and is very stable.
If your putting it in your truck then you definitely want to keep it light.
Another thing to consider is where do you do most of your fishing? Ponds? Rivers?
I think both are good for conversions. BPS has really good aluminum boats too.
Again this is just my opinion. Good luck. :)

Will be on trailer, just want good stability.not sure about the bow of the LOWE ,it is upswept more than the other brands. Curious about how that will affect stability? May have to look at others.ready to get started just dont want to buy something we wont be happy with.guess ill continue my search....thank you for the input!!
