So here is my first ever boat and it has this narly corrosion...my guess is that it spent some time in saltwater and there is no hint of any zinc anywhere except the outboard..also the previous owner has sprayed the keel with what im going to guess is herculiner or something of the sort and the inside of the boat along the seams have also been coated although with a grey colored liner...should i be worried about this? what are my options?

whiteish yellow powder coming undernearth the keel guard

Looks like some pretty intense pitting going on and if that's what's in the visible portion, it makes you hate to think what's hidden under that bed liner. I'm not sure what the rest of the boat looks like but I hope you don't have a lot invested in it so far.

Ive had nightmares about what i would find if i scraped that bedliner off, only paid $400 for boat and trailer and either way im going to get my moneys worth fishing it.
