I have a 2010 Triton Aluminum jon boat, (Triton by Earl Bentz) 1440MV. Am trying to mount a trolling motor bracket on the bow using rivet nuts. Does anyone know the thickness of the aluminum bow platform? Thank you.

I'm not sure what a rivet nut is. My 1994 Fisher was built using .125 metal (1/8"). I am fairly sure they aren't using anything heavier. Pop rivets and mollys have a range in which they work.

I have a Triton 1650SC, the front deck thickness is .100"

Standard rivet nuts should work just fine, I would definitely use 1/4 x 20, along with stainless bolts.

Also, be sure to apply some never-sieze to the threads before installing, otherwise the dissimilar metals being in contact with each other, particularly in moisture... will literally weld the bolt into the threads of the rivet nut.
