I just built these @ work today. They are to replace the old dry-rotted ones on my boat. I put the "Crawdad" name on them, due to the fact that I have a Coleman Crawdad..
These aren't cleaned up (finger-prints) but you get the idea.. And if you don't, move on! ;)

Going to drill holes through each, using the old wood for the template (matches perfectly). I didn't want to pre-drill the holes, as I didn't like their hole placement too well so I am going to move a couple to better fit the boat. The rear support beams were too low. I raised mine up so now there is a little more support in the rear.. You can actually put weight on it now~
 
They're made of 3/8" aluminum.. Those took me about 5 minutes of design time (measuring/drawing) and about 10 minutes of cutting.. It was pretty simple!
