I am starting to think that it might be best to pick up a brand new hull instead of spending more time messing around with my leaking starcraft that I have made 5 or 6 attempts to seal up with little luck. Besides the fact that the redoing a large majority of the rivets in the boat is a huge pain I a have never liked how the bow oiled canned when running in a chop. I have a few ideas of how that could be dealt with, however, if possible I would like to pick up a new hull and just start from there.

What would you guys recommend for a 16' boat that will be used mainly in near shore and salt water river systems? Price is a concern (I would like to stay under 3K) and I am looking for something 16' or 17'. I already have a trailer and 50hp Honda to get it to a through the water.
