I'm new here although I have been scouring this site for some while...trust me when I say I have exhausted the internet on the topic of pvc t tops and have found nothing. So let me give you some background. I don't fish much my boat is mainly used for diving and snorkleing the shoals and caves of the flint river in Albany ga. So I bought a new boat. Lol a new old boat. Its a 1963 15ft Jon with no name. It came rigged with the stick steering all the way in the front which I can't stand so first thing was to brineverything back to a console. My reason for the t top is many. It looks cool. Everything is up out of the floor. Allows for stand up function and it looks cool lol.these pictures were takin before I finished it so I will post some more tomorrow. Top stands up to full throttle on the river with all the wake jumping and abuse I can give it with the 25 hp mariner and speeds of 70 on the highway without so much as a wiggle.top is 2 inch schedule 40

Super cool mod! I love anything DIY and have done quite a few projects on my own boat using PVC including a grab bar, tiller extender, rod holders, push pole clips, manual bilge pump and more. Granted, it's not as nice as aluminum tubing or carbon fiber, but it works great for the weekend warrior in all of us and you can rebuild everything many times over for the cost of a custom set up. BTW, I live down the road a bit in Tallahassee, FL. Holler if you ever want to go explore some of the local rivers. Lots of artifacts, fossils, manatees, etc...

Amazing, considering the flexibility of PVC I would think that thing would be wobbling all over the place.
