Just picked up a 2011 lowe 175wt, she is wearing a merc 115 4 stroke. Seems to me that the motor is set to low. View attachment 1 the skag is a full 3" below the back of the the boat. When I take off from a stop she points straight up, it takes about 10 seconds to plane out, usually porpoise along the way. I have plenty of room to raise the motor. Ideas??

Too low for sure.
If you're interested in running shallow get a hydraulic or electric jack plate n the right prop and you'll be able to raise that way above the bottom of the boat.

Raise it to level with the bottom, if it is slightly higher that is okay as long as the prop doesn't vent, if it does then you will need to lower it a bolt hole and try again. The higher the better, less drag, more efficiency.
