I recently got a small Alumacraft from a friend. The best I can tell it's a 1950's model FDR. It has a 5 horse motor for it, but I would also like to use it as a rowboat. The challenge is the rail around the top of the boat. Most aftermarket oarlocks aren't made for the lip on this model Alumacraft. Any suggestions? I'd appreciate it. Thanks!

Welcome aboard! Really nice looking boat!!! Would these work?

I'm thinking that's the direction I'll have to go, but I'm not sure about how to fasten them to that smooth, rounded rail.

I would estimate that the mount surface on this socket is about an inch wide. How much radius do you have to deal with in an inch? You could make a spacer out of hardwood or plastic to go under it.
