PLEASE HELP!!
I have purchased my first big bass boat. It is a 1984 Bass Tracker. It needs alot of work. It is just weathered in general. My first priority is the front deck and the compartments. The compartments are plastic boxes with an overhanging lip and a hatch. I have been looking online and cant find anything similar to replace them with. I have seen several white ones that look like they are for luxary type boats. What I'm looking for doesn't actually have to lock, but they need to be sturdy enough for me to walk on as this makes up the rear deck. I would also like for them to stay dry if possible or have holes for drainage. The current rough opening is 13.25 x 15.5 x 14. I have little room to expand as it will eliminate the area needed for an overhanging lip. I really need some help finding something to put in their place. I would rather not have to fabricate anything. Please help. Any information you could provide would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!!

Dawson (bassboy1) from Fish On Fabrications should be able to make you exactly what you need. I had him make me a custom hatch for my rear bench and a custom frame with 3 hatch lids for my front deck.

Here is what he made for me.

Wow! Thanks for the information. Those compartments look great!. If you don't mind me asking, how pricey were they? I'm sure all costs vary with size but knowing yours will give me an idea. Might have to sell off one of my kids first. LOL.

PS - you are probably fine, but you might want to check the foam to ensure it is not water logged. The ribs have a tendency to crack on the very ends too. Just something to keep an eye on.

Thanks for the heads up. I do think the foam is water logged. Will I have to completely gut the boat to replace it? Is it worth the trouble? I have set up fans to dry it, but I don't see how it doesn't get soaked every time water gets in the boat due to the fact it sits right on the bottom of the boat. Is it supposed to be up off the bottom?

TheRookieFD, im a little late to your post but in the last week I built new storage hatch frames for my buddies 87 bass tracker. I used 18g sheet metal and a little tig welding and they turned out great. here are a few pics
