I've got a 1448 with a Riptide 112 on the back. I just noticed that my bunks stop a few inches short of the transom, and something's bowed or curved because they dont make contact for a few inches past the ends. Since I don't have a heavy gas motor hanging is it a big deal?

I would want the bunks to extend 1-2 inches past the transom so that the boat is supported by the transom and not the thin alum. bottom.

You're probably right. Good thing I have two long 2x4's sitting around somewhere. I may just have to do it in the parking lot at the ramp.

If you lower the tongue of the trailer to the ground the stern of your boat will be up. Put something under the stern and raise the tongue, the boat should be off the bunks
