DeValls Bluff Arkansas has a river festival every year on the White River. They hold a flat bottom boat race around a bunch of milk jugs. It is just a fun "run what you brung" race but I love the 3" second place trophy I earned one year. I don't know if they still do it. I ran a 14" Monticello with a POS Merc 25. The local boat mechanic ran a 16' with a Johnson 45 equipped with a 60 hp powerhead. He smoked everybody.
