FWIW I find these boat speed calculators pretty accurate for small tin skiffs, less the way some of you really weigh them down :shock: with floors and casting platforms :wink: .
Theoretical Speed, without ‘Slip’ = (RPM / Gear Ratio) x (Pitch / Constant)
Theoretical Speed, with ‘Slip’ factored in = (RPM / Gear Ratio) x (Pitch / Constant) x (1 - (Slip / 100))
… where the constant = 1056
NOTE: Slip @ WOT should be 10% or less …
