Yes, I know my wife has expressed how crazy she thinks it is. I have wanted one of these for a while the only problem I have with it is storage. Considering I had a tracker 1436 and modded it with all the useful resources here I figure I will give it a try.

First off the carpet really not that adhered to the deck took 10 min to get to the wood without damaging the carpet.

and after the wood this is what is left.

So the thought is adding more storage for extra battery for extra fish finder and lights and more storage for tackle and stuff.

We will see how it goes ill keep you updated.

Any comments feel free.

Oh yea first post! :D

Side Note: I work for the company that produces Advan Tech. They have had a piece of this floating in a fish tank for 10 years and no water damage (Good stuff!).

Just trying to keep this updated for the next tinker working on his boat.

Your going to have to remove some of that foam to make some room for storage. Its not a lot of fun but is doable.

Yea the way i want to do it will take some work would like to take it out in manageable sections. I could weigh it a lot better I think so I can replace whats removed.
(Safety First :D )

Okay, Feeling somewhat better did some work!

What I have planned is making a plastic bait holder. We have a ton of plastic baits and this 4 dollar planter from Home depot will accommodate them perfectly.

I will be using this a lot so don't want it down low so this will be above the deck.

leveled out foam for tray to sit on.

cut the deck so the lip is resting on top.

Cut using jigsaw

Again for this I made the cut so the box slides in and lip rests on deck.

The lid for this type will have ridge around it to compensate for the lip of the planter being above deck. The lid is advantech and cedar for the ridge. Cedar is great for boat projects very light and water resistant naturally.
