I am in the process of restoring a 95 tracker v14. I'm replacing not upgrading the decking with non pressure non chem treated wood. The old screws were completely roasted and had to be cut\pulled out of the rotting wood/frame. Would you recommend using self drilling stainless flat screws to go through the wood and through the angle alum or predrilling the wood and the angle alum and then just use a regular stainless screw? Sounds like a stupid question but i really want to make sure it is secure. Next up rebuilding carb(first attempt ever) changing lower unit fluid, plugs fuel line and tank. Rewiring trailer and maybe stripping and repaint decal. Thanks for your help
