Most "universal" style jon boat covers come in only 14 or 16 foot. Anyone have any trouble using the 16 foot ones for a 15 foot jon? My boat is a 1542 with a side console if that makes a difference

I ordered a cover from national boat covers and it works great. It even has extra give around the front that I tightened to what I like and the back was a nice snug fit. I wonder if you received a wrong size by accident. Mine was for a 14ft so maybe they make one general size for 14-16ft leaving the upper two very tight?

I made one myself, wasn't hard, just took some time. I have never ran a sewing mach before either.

Here is the website where I got the info:

Maybe you could get a 16 ft cover & hem it back.

I haven't ordered one yet, I'll take a look at national boat covers... I have just had trouble finding a 15 foot cover

Hello,

We are BoatCoversDirect.com, a forum sponsor for TinBoats.net. We would love to help you cover your boat!

We do offer a cover for a 15'6" Jon Style Bass Boat with Side Console. This cover will also accommodate for a bow mounted trolling motor, and it will have an attached cover to go over your outboard motor. Your motor is not mounted on a jackplate or bracket, correct?

Here is a link to this cover, which is Made in the USA by Carver Industries:

You will receive a 10% discount off our online prices for being a forum member. Please let me know if you have any questions regarding the cover, material, etc. I will be more than happy to help you!

Have a great day!

Any chance you might have something that would fit a 1436 square nose with a trolling motor and side console? Pretty sure there aren't manufacturers making jons this small with these protrusions...

Thank you for your inquiry! We can also cover your 1436. Does your trolling motor add much length past the tip of the bow, or does it stick off the side mainly? How far does your console protrude above the gunnel? Your cover would have an attached outboard motor cover as well, which is made for the largest motor allowed on the boat by law.

Thank you, and please let me know if you have any questions!
