As far as manual shallow water anchors (cajun anchors, toothpicks, etc), who makes a good bracket for the front of a jon boat and isn't too expensive?

For while it's in the water?

How about this simple, super cheap idea?

solid one piece (after it is glued together).
Custom made to fit your boat.
Rust - Corrosion Proof. Paint to match your boat.

Cheap !!!

Edit: if you fear that the PVC will crack and break off,
if the water is that rough, you probably would not stay put
no matter what you use.

PVC will crack and break, especially in current or when temps get colder. Been there, done that. I use a 4 foot piece of bungee cord with a stainless steel ring on one end and tie it off to the cleat on the other end. My anchor is just a solid fibergalss rod from grainger with a stainless tip and a handle

Enough already, you are annoying everyone!!

NC roughneck, hmmm I wonder where I might be located. I agree that your response is quite annoying and should stop. Not to mention your "advice"

I plain on using an eye bolt on mine.
On the same topic what is every one using for poles?
Which is why I don't already have one installed. Haven't found the rite pole yet. Guessing the store bought would cost a bit.
