Recently bought a Tracker Topper 1436 and have installed carpet and seats and pedestals. Wanting to install bow mounted trolling motor with foot control and trying to figure out the best conversion to raise the bow to mount the motor. ANY SUGGESTIONS? Thanks

I have used stacked 2x10s from the factory deck to raise the trolling motor up and made a frame from aluminum angle and made a small deck for my V2 to mount in my new boat.

I would also recommend the slide mount for the PDV2, in case someone likes your motor more than you do.

I've used some aluminum channel in the past w/ good luck. Easy to access from underneath.

Thanks guys for the ideas.
I contacted Dawson at FishOn Fabrications about a mount and he sent me a couple of drawings he recommended. I chose one of the mounts and he made it for me and was shipped quickly. Fits like a glove. I've noticed that the trolling motors are mounted on the sides instead of the center of bow. I was planning on putting the mount as close to the center of bow as possible. I was wondering if I should pop-rivet the mount on or use sheet metal screws since the mount will be installed on the enclosed front seat. I also purchased a quick release bracket for security reasons.
Thanks again for your help and thanks Dawson for the fast service.

Put the mount where you want it and where it gives you the most front-deck open area.

Lots of people get hung up with the "loss of efficiency" when the TM is mounted off-center. IMHO you do not lose much in the way of efficiency with an off-center mount. Besides, 98% of all TMs are mounted off-center.
