I've been looking to get some solid rivets the ones on east wood say for 1000 series aluminum. Boats are typically 5000 I haven't been able to find any of this material does it matter or will the 1000 series work just fine?

The ones I bought off of e-bay are
Aluminum Alloy Number: 2117T4 (hard)
and Aluminum Alloy 5050 (soft)
I have no idea of what that means. But, I figure they are 20 years
or more newer than the boat that it goes in.
I do however, recommend that you try to find the ones Made in USA.
If they come from a 3rd world country, you have no idea what is in the mix.
Which may or may not invite corrosion.
