It's been a while since I posted. Last project boat never really got off the ground.
anyway, I am picking up a 1989 Lowe 1610V with a 40hp Evenrude on it. I have searched for spec on this boat and spent 1/2 hour on hold with Lowe to no avail....

Anyone have intel on this boat?

Thanks!!

Wow, that appears as INSANELY CLEAN for a 1989 model  !

Well I found 3 references and thus IF you have a current USCG dataplate, you shold be able to confirm some of these numbers. Looks like I would not trust the NADA specs:

From NADA Guides for 1989 1610 model:

MODEL 1610(**)
16' Utility
HP – 25
Hull Weight 540-pounds
Beam 6'-2"

From iboats.com spec page for 1989 1610 model:

This Lowe outboard utility has a aluminum hull,
-is 16 feet long and 72 inches wide at the widest point.
-The boat weighs approximately 690 pounds with an empty fuel tank and without any gear or passengers.
-The maximum horsepower we have listed for this outboard boat is 70 hp .

From ABOS Marine Blue Book for 1989 1610 model:

Beam (in): 72"
Boat Type: Utility
Hull Material: Aluminum
Length: 16' 0"
Load Capacity: 1300
Maximum HorsePower: 70
Net Weight (lbs): 690
Transom Height: 21”

Yeah it is in great shape. No leaks either. He kept it in a garage and just doesn't use it anymore.. It belongs to my co-worker's father.
Thanks for that info.
I'm trying to find a spec sheet and Lowe has told me to contact a local dealer...

I'll get it in a couple weeks.
