Depending on the specific model and the load you are carrying, it should get somewhere between 30-35MPH.
My buddy has a 16.5 bass boat with an old 40. Our combined weight we were pulling 600#'s :shock: . We got pulled over for doing 32 mph in a restricted lake.
Now that I have lost a few, I bet it can do 33-35. :LOL2:

I gps'd the PT175 I had once. There were 3 adults, about 20 gal. of fuel onboard, a bunch of fishing gear, and an ice chest. I clocked it at around 31mph. Oh, that rig has a 50hp Merc on it.
