I've scoured the site but I'm not finding a whole lot of pictures to give me ideas on framing up a semi v front deck using all aluminum.

Does anyone have a good link to modifications done that shows this? I've got the floor and back deck framed, but I'm stumped on the front.

Thanks!

PHOTOS of your rig will help us help you.

where is the stump ?
are you having trouble with the profile and raise of the bow ?
The P/O of my boat had a live well in the bow but he took it out
for some reason. I have the plywood off to replace it. It is 3/4"
and HEAVY . . . so I will replace it with 1/2" and make the hatch door
a bit larger so I can get a tupperware box in it for dry storage.
May take out that nasty looking foam too - don't know just yet how
far the makeover will go.

I will try to get a picture up later today.

I guess I should have been more specific... the issue is not building the top framing, but rather how to support it from below. It will need to be anchored to the sides and bottom somehow.

For now.... my boat is the same as the one in this thread.

Ok here's a pic of the front.

Original plan is to have a 3/4 pin mount where it's sitting now and have a deck forward of the bench. I had planned on leaving the bench in and building onto it but I'm ok with taking it out and starting from scratch too.

Pretty much have to use the two fore to aft ribs to anchor framing too or bolt something onto the side which I'm assuming needs to be above the water line.

below the water line is not an issue, if you seal your fasteners well.
you have the correct idea as to the vertical supports to the floor ribs.
the horizontal deck supports are just simple angle brackets riveted
to the hull. Removing the seat is totally your call. The new deck,
once it is securely fastened in place, will compensate for the seat.
That project will only take a few feet of angle and square tubing and
a handful of rivets. Extra support where your seat mounts.
good luck
