Looking for two life jackets that don't take up much room. But I don't wanna spend the money on inflatables. Any suggestions?

The ones that construction workers wear are compact but are in the $100 range.
The ones used by jet ski and water ski people are the same, but cheap when used.
In Florida, they run about $10-15 for adult sizes. (used).
This "Jet Pilot" vest is $15 in my local C/L this morning. It is not very thick.
They are designed for maneuverability and comfort as well tight fitting for hitting the
water at a high impact .... which means hot and uncomfortable to fish in all day.
Check the Sporting Goods section of your C/L.

Some kayak fishing vests are really well designed for ventilation and freedom of movement. Like the ones Johnny showed, they wrap around you so they tend to be more compact in size.

Hard part about your search is that life jackets only function by displacing water. To pass Coast Guard certifications they need to provide a certain amount of buoyancy, dependent upon the certified weight. Non-inflatable jackets generally use foam as the buoyancy material. Therefore all non-inflatable jackets of a certain weight rating will have almost identical volumes.

If you're looking to store jackets away, the only significant difference will be how the foam is broken up into sections. Look for vests that promote flexibility (fishing vests etc,). They'll likely be able to give you more folding options.

You won't likely find vests that take up significantly less space.

Good luck!

There are also jackets out there that are 100mph impact resistant in that style. Have a large flotation ring that is attached at the top rear designed to protect your neck and hold your head upright and clear should you not be awake when you hit the water.
