I am trying to plan my Jon boat build and I am to the light section but I will be running a setup to switch panel for lights bildge and all that and I am wondering about what bildge pump what size should I get then I will be running these lights

Be careful with these. They are NOT Coast Guard approved. There are plenty of L.E.D. navigation lights out there that are approved. I asked a FWC ( Florida WIldlife Commision ) officer today about them and he said that they are writing warings for them and to be reinspected for replacement within 30 days
 
I too would be looking at a more conventional set of lights as most states follow Coast Guard requirements pretty closely and that last thing you want to do is get hassled while out on the water. Those strip lights would be fine on the inside but for navigation?

Any small bilge pump will work. I have a 600gph in my 14.5'.

I'm also guessing tat you will be running all wires to a fused switch panel. Is that correct?
 
Harrison, welcome aboard - where you from ??

Being on the water can be tons of fun.
It can also be quite treacherous and dangerous if boaters
do not know ALL the safety requirements and abide by them accordingly.

There are certain lighting requirements that are US Coast Guard approved.
It is the boaters responsibility to know ALL the USCG Rules of Navigation
as well as the safety equipment onboard.
 
Depending on where you fish, and under what conditions....the size of the bilge pump, IMHO, is ....The Largest That You Can Fit.... in easily.

Unless they are running, they don't draw any current at all. When you NEED them, you NEED them.

If it is a small boat, and you only pond fish, and shore is only a quick row away...then small is probably OK. But, if your boat springs a leak; some idiot throws a wave into your boat; or a torrential downpour hits...you will appreciate a larger bilge pump.

Thank you all so much and for what I am running in I run up in the kawartha lakes region up north but live in Goragia I boat on a small lake but I will venture far so I will go for the larger pumpe and as for the front lights I will not pick those I thought they would just be easy but that is not worth getting a ticket and I am now wondering with these light and a bildge what switch panel should I guess and how to wire it
 
There are many ways to wire up some simple circuits with the easiest being something like this that can be found almost anywhere. Then you will need to find stranded wire in the correct size for the different circuits and of different colors.

These panels can be found at any marine dealer and I've been buying my tinned marine wire from a couple different sellers on ebay.
 
This wiring size chart might help you choose the right conductors.

A couple of things to remember are,

.... a wire size LARGER (smaller numbered) than you need will do no harm. SMALLER (larger numbered) than you need is never a good idea.

.......Fuses should be placed as close to the battery as possible.

The Sea Nymph that I am currently working on has a side steering console and the electrical was very basic which I plan to change.

Instead of the fused panel that I linked before I will be adding one of these, https://www.overtons.com/modperl/product/details.cgi?pdesc=Blue-Sea-ST-Glass-Fuse-Block-6-Circuits-w/Negative-Bus&i=26549 and running a 10ga. wire for the positive and negative to the fuse block. Then I'll be reusing 2 of the push/pull switches that were in the boat. One for the lights and one for the Live-well and then add one for the bulge pump and probably a momentary switch for the horn. Each of those circuits fused separately. That will then leave 2 spaces open on the fuse block of which one will be for the depth finder.

So this is just another example for you to consider.

Never attach any wires to the boat hull. Run separate hot and negative leads.
