After paint the hull of the boat what is the best sealant? I'm thinking about clear coating but don't know much about the process, or even if it's worth the price.

I have painted 10 + boats and only cleared one that was a matel flake repaint on a bass boat a bunch of years ago and the only reason then was because I used an automotive paint that required it.

That's a good ? This will be my first, any ideas are welcome. Wanting to paint inside and outside.

If your boat is going to spent most of it's life on a trailer Rustoleum works well. Any oil based paint like Valspar, Tractor and implement paint.Vader809 said:
