Questions about a Jon Boat

I have been looking for a Jon to converting into a fishing boat for fishing in watershed and pond fishing. I have found a 14x42 for sale locally and was just wondering if it would be big enough to deck and have two adults fish out of?

I would say yes - Just keep the decks low and :WELCOME:

Should be just fine. I used to fish 2 grown men out of a 1436 and it was stable enough. I'd say if the price is right, go for it.

Yes. A 1442 is what I have and I put decks and seats in it and fish 2 adults regularly.

Yup - mine is a 1436 and it's plenty stable in calm waters. I kept the deck height at the bench seat height (not raised any more than that) and it is nice.

Thanks guys, I am going to go look at one and see what kind of shape it is in. I just wanted to make sure it would be wide enough to be stable with a deck on it for small, shallow water fishing.
