I am looking at a 1991 Lowe Fish/Ski this weekend, has a 115 Mariner 2 stroke and Merc 9.9 4 stroke kicker. Askin $6500, hope to get a little cheaper. I have heard mixed reviews on Lowe. Some great, some say they are at the bottom of the list. Looks like new on the inside and out. Low hours on both motors. Who's has owned one and how did you like it?

ALso, how are the Mariner brand motors?

I can provide feedback on the Mariner. My father's 40hp Mariner that he bought new in the 80s is still his primary runner. There used to be an old Mariner commercial "should have got a Mariner" advertising where it will always start on the first try, every time. And guess, what - his still does.
 
Thanks for the reply. I did a little digging and it looks as tho it is real close to the Merc motor.
