Looking into buying a 1989 Bass Tracker Pro 17 "project boat". The boat has no motor. Anybody know the transom height? Long shaft or short?

get your tape measure - come back and tell us
how many inches from the top of the transom
to the bottom of your boat. Personally, I would
never quote a number on an old boat from the
factory specs.
Too many hands doing too many modifications.
15" transom = short shaft
20-22" transom = long shaft

Don't believe he owns the boat yet Johnny. The transom on my 92 Pro 17 is 20". The transom will be the same for the 89. You will be needing a long shaft motor. Good luck and hope you grab it.
