Started out with a 9.9 tiller setup. Couldn't get up on plane by myself. Not a tiller motor fan either but I got the boat for less than the hull is worth. Sold the 9.9 for $1800 and bought a 2001 merc. 25 two stroke. Ordered up a console, steering and controls. Got out ont he water last weekend. (hot wired the motor (so to speak) that's why the cover is off. Now I have a new prop and ignition switch on the way. Almost finished. Finally the boat I have wanted for a long time.

Nice, that looks familiar! Is that a tunnel hull like mine? I've been out about 8-10 times now.

No not a tunnel, Standard 1652 vt. I added the center console and just put the 25 on it. Loving it. Waiting on my new prop and my actual ignition switch to show up. This prop is for a much larger boat, and I have been hotwiring it (so to speak) to start and stop it.
