Has anyone ever tried to build a Fold-able Boat/Kayak/Canoe?
I've seen the DIY ones made of Coroplast (Plastic Cardboard 4'X8' sheet)...but just curious if anyone tried.

Something like the photos.

I came up with a lot of ideas, some great some not so great, in a smoke filled room in college but never have I considered a fold away boat.

the only reason I ask is they make a folding Kayak....but i don't want to spend $1300.

get you a design you like - build it.
take it to some shallow water, try it out.
if it floats right and you are happy, good deal.
if it don't float right and you are not happy, forget it.

You have left out sooooooo much information that
would dictate if it would work for you.
your height and weight
what kind of water are you going to be in
are you a skilled waterman ? kayak, canoe, rafter, etc.
is your life insurance up to date?
is your will up to date?
do you know how to file a float plan ???

stuff like that
