I'm coating the bottom of my tin with wetlander this summer.

I just used SteelFlex for the 1st time and am impressed. Went on easily enough, as long as you use thin-nap rollers, but man ... it setup hard and durable and is stuck like permanent glue!

no matter what you put on the bottom,
the coating will eventually wear off and may (or may not)
start to degrade from there.... depends on what you use.
I guess you should start at the beginning and work backwards.
(a) put a piece of carpet in your truck bed
(b) try to stay off the rocks
Read, understand and follow the instructions of any coating you
may use on your boat. (inside or out).
There is a HUGE difference in coatings !!! Each has their own properties.
mostly for waterproofing - some are to "minimize" scrapes and scratches
to the metal.... but, they too will still scrape, scratch and dent with normal use.
stay far far away from that seal stuff you see on TV !!!!!

Like Dale said: Steel-Flex is a great protector. But, it is only a coating.
I had a bass boat with Steel-Flex the P/O put on and I liked it.
IMO, all coatings are vulnerable to the rough surfaces you may encounter.
