Hello, I've been using this forum for several months now and it has been extremely helpful in my new boat modifications. Thank you.

I have to start posting at some point so it might as well be with something I'm struggling to find.

I have an 16' alumacraft Classic (deep v with 3 aluminum bench seats)

I have built a front and rear casting deck at the seat height and left the center opening open to the factory floor.

I'm looking for a removable seat pedestal that will be as close to the modified deck as possible. Basically the seats need to sit on the deck and legs will dangle into the open section.

The best solution I'm finding is just a standard 3/4" seat pedestal and base. I've found some available without the spring which would allow me to sit low as I can to the deck. The base have to be able to be stand on friendly as I move through the boat.

Does anyone have any other solutions?

Does need to be removable so I can put the seat away while fishing.

Thanks again.

if you have done some looking around, you have probably
seen that the profile is basically the same with flush mounts.
You can, however, dedicate one pedestal (or two) for your leg-dangling
seat by cutting the pin off to suit your needs and remove the spring.
Only takes a minute with the Dewalt CutOff Grinder. WaLa - Done.

Maybe something like a Attwood or swivl-eze bench style seat mount.
You will still have the mount sticking up a little, but the base and seat will be removable.
