I have been following this site and looking at all the great boat projects. I decided to use the vinyl flooring on my boat. I have a a couple of questions. 1. How thick is the vinyl? I am cutting pieces of plywood for the floor and I am wondering how much room to leave between joints. 2. Do you seal the joints? (between the vinyl covered pieces of plywood)
Thank you

Attached is the Nautolex spec sheet ... but I think they missed a decimal point or two  , but maybe you can call them and ask them (then report back for what they say). I'd say it's between 1/32 and 1/16" thick, probably ~40 mils.

FWIW here's a GREAT project post with info from someone who went from carpet to vinyl, with photos, details and considerations to watch out for, given that the vinyl is much thinner: https://www.tinboats.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=25498
