I am pretty happy with the mods that I did on my trailer over the last six months.

As some of you know, I scrapped my 20 year old Lowe due to some concern about the hull no longer being seaworthy. In doing so, I thought I might be able to re-use the 20 year old trailer, but my new boat choice 1652 G3 wouldn't fit. I sold the trailer to a guy to use for his kayaks.

The new trailer that came with the G3 was galvanized; had LED lights; and was as good an "out of the store" trailer as I could expect.

I added a step on the tongue; Post guide-ons and a "guide" device to keep the boat centered; PVC gutter tops for the bunks; and spring loaded stern tie-downs.

When I launch and re-cover these days, all of those little add-ons make the experience fairly pleasant.

I recovered the boat today for maybe the 40th time since I did these mods. I immediately remembered how much easier it is now compared to last year's launch and recover operations.

It's always good to see how those mods improve things, and just make life a little bit better/more enjoyable ain't it. Congrats

Sounds like it all works great! Please tell us there's more than a bungee holding the star, drive on jack and spare on  . Hard to tell from the pics.

Beautifully done, Rich.

However, I suspect you will always be "almost done," as you once quoted your spouse.
