hi everyone from iowa. first time jon boat owner. got a good deal I think,
im wondering what model I have before I go farther.
its a 1967 monark 14' flat bottom. whats the 4 digit model thing? and I would use that model # to buy oem parts?

boat will be for fishing. will do a conversion also for ease of fishing. aka. a deck front and rear with seating and storage.

my other question is there a site or a company that sells parts pieces for this type of project? like build in live wells. build in coolers. etc. decks that fit and drop in?

thank you and here is a picture of me boat

fyi. bought trailer. boat with deck already. 12hp sea king motor (runs) 50lb kota motor and a mystery lb Flueger trolling motor ...$500

Not sure what you mean by "4 digit model thing". Boats after 1972 had a HIN tag on the stern(upper right looking at the stern). Prior to 1972 there wasn't any industry wide system. Anyhow, I sincerely doubt that any boat manufacturer would have OEM parts for a nearly 50 year old very inexpensive boat.

Again, to my limited knowledge, there aren't any companies that have pre-fit decks for your specific model. There certainly are companies who sell live-wells; coolers etc. But, they have to be built-in by the owner. Of course, you can contract with some of them to build what you want to your specifications. For a $500.00 boat you will be way over budget in a blink of an eye, I would think.

Read some of the "build" threads here and you will find many guys who are doing what you want done. richg99

Don't bother looking for OEM parts they don't exist, for the most part.
