At the risk of sounding like the computer illiterate that I am. How does one go about replying to a comment in appreciation of information that they have given you. I admit that I have trouble navigating around on this site. But, to all who contributed to my question, I am greatly appreciative. Thanks to all of you.

... just hit reply at top or bottom left of the page, or quote (can edit the remarks to a few words or such) if there was something of particular note. And you could also click on their name and send them a PM or Private Message.

To augment DaleH's post with a little more detail; In the single post from the person, top right corner, is a box/button marked "quote". By clicking on it, you open a "reply" window with that person's posting. Do not type any text into the post, but type your own text below or above it. If you insert your text into the quoted post, it appears as if your text was part of the quoted text.
By clicking on a "reply" button, you open up a window without any quoted text. This enables you to add a reply or ask a question in a given thread.
