I am in need of a new id plate (year, model, capacity, etc.) for the transom. Mine is completely worn off. Does anyone know if the companies will send a replacement?

if you can make out the information on the plate,
there are companies on the interweb that can fabricate a new one for you.
both the USCG capacity plate and the manufacturers plate.

I bought mine from the manufacturer (Mirro Aluminum Company). It came as a sticker with about 30 replacement rivets and the total cost was $47.54. It was shipped in a bubble envelope which the Post Office punctured before delivery. I expected an aluminum plate stamped with the info like the original for that price. I would not do it again and plan to make my own (or merge the sticker onto an aluminum plate with a clear coat finish) as the sticker will last maybe one season if the glue holds and the UV doesn't fade it to unreadable.
