Can I cut a hole here?

I want to add room for a battery. I know it will fit if I can cut a hole here but don't want to weaken the deck. I included a picture of what it looks like under there too. There are walls on both side under there which should provide support? Thanks.

Structurally, probably not.

If you are intending to use that seat base, then some close measuring may be in order. As you probably know, the seat bases extend down below the horizontal deck.

My boat has a factory hole in the same location. I added a seat base pretty much where the mounting holes on the OP's boat is. I ended up having to run some square aluminum stock from starboard to port to tie into the seat base mounting hardware to reinforce it. Nice and solid now. Before, not so much.
