Hello all, been lurking around for some time now and just now registered.
I recently moved onto an electric only lake and purchased a used Skeeter ZX 17 with no outboard, as no gas motors are allowed. It fishes well with the exception of being incredibly bow heavy as there is no outboard to weigh down the transom.
So Im seriously considering removing the fuel tank to make room for at least 4 12v batteries. Ive been looking at electric outboards. The boat will only be used in this lake as I have a Skeeter FX 21 for my primary craft.
I figure the extra weight of the batteries in place of an empty fuel tank should help negate the weight issue.
Long winded, I know, I apologize. So anyone ever remove the tank from this or a similar boat?
