I have a 14' that i am restoring. I am replacing all the plywood benchs with new plywood. what do you guys use to treat the wood to protect it from the elements?

after your seats are sanded down smooth, the edges rounded over
and the mounting holes drilled a bit larger than the bolts.
apply the varnish sealer: saturate all edges first - then saturate each side of the panel
wipe off excess when it begins to puddle and the wood will not absorb any more sealer.
let air dry for at least 48-72 hours with the ambient temperature above 70*f.
apply two or more coats of spar varnish or primer and paint of your choice.

if you want to keep the natural wood look, several coats of
Spar Varnish will help stave off any deterioration - for awhile.
wood must be maintained. a fresh coat of varnish or paint
every season will help them last for years.

photos of your boat would be appreciated.
