After going back and forth with a few fabricators I've decided to go a different route with additional seating/storage in my boat. I decided to flip over a box that I had and frame the inside with some angle. Not sure if it is a good idea or not. Time will tell. I chose this box because it tapers and I can keep my rod racks on the wall of the boat. I'm not done with the framing yet. More to come.

Will its weight be an issue?
It actually seems a little too light. I'm having second thoughts. I'm going to finish framing it and see.

So I decided to go another route. The toolbox was too flimsy. I went with wood for now. It's a bit heavy but I have zero weight in the front of my boat so it might help me a bit. I notched one side out to keep my rod storage .
