I haven't liked the little pool of water that collects in the boat while it's on the hard. I came up with a simple way to ensure that any water that sneaks in under the cover is removed.
I put a rag in the bilge, threaded through the drain, and dangling a foot or so down.
If any water makes its way into the boat, the pool will saturate the rag, including the portion outside the boat. At this point, capillary action wicks the pool out and down.
