Hey all. I may be taking a look a a boat said to be a 1985 Bluefin 16 footer. The pic is poor but it has a walk through windshield and some grab rails on the bow.

Can anybody give me any general advice on these hulls and whether they are good bets? (This would have been strictly a fresh water boat.)

Thanks.

I have a 1988 Bluefin 1648 MV and it is a really sound boat.
the only problem I had was the waterlogged foam..... which is a PAIN to deal with.
so if you go look at it - try to take a core sample of the foamed compartments.
look for any loose rivets that may indicate it spent some time in rough open water.

there are a few members here that have Bluefins of different configurations.
put " Bluefin " in the search box and see what you come up with.

PHOTOS will always help the gallery help you.

without detailed photos - it is like asking us to guess what
color is the cat in a sack.

I have a 1984 Bluefin. Its just a basic tiller setup, 14ft and 60" wide vhull. The hull is all original, every rivet. Doesn't leak a drop, seems to be built better than many new aluminum boats.
