I plan to deck over the section just behind the bow back to the forward seat. I'd start the deck on top of the forward edge of the forward seat and run it almost to the very bow, with a hatch for access to the batteries. My original thought was half inch marine ply, epoxy coated, but I'm now wondering whether Starboard or the like would be worth the additional cost and present fewer maintenance issues. Either choice would likely be covered with indoor outdoor carpeting.
Any advice here?

Haven't used or seen it but aluminum composite panels seems to get a lot of thumbs up so it's on my to-do list for a 14 ft v hull floor. Today I was quoted a very reasonable price for a couple of leftover 1/2" thick pieces by a local distributor. It's listed as marine grade but I forgot to ask the weight.
