Looking for a seat base that post doesn't stick in very far I have a flat floor with aluminum on top of the ribs and maybe a inch and a half of Clearance any suggestions on what will work

They also have wide bases that attach and do not protrude under the deck (other than the attaching nuts/bolts). Only issue with those is that the bases are fixed and arent removable when not in use.
 
A few threads down my build is posted. Lowe 1648m first build. I had the same issue on my floor. I ended up using a surface mount base with 1/4x20 nutserts and bolts. That way during duck season I can easily unbolt it and have a flush floor.

Guess next time I get to bass pro shop I will measure and see what I can find.

These work great. If you can adapt the plate to your current seat. And they won't use up all your cash.
