Local first then online. Any kind of warranty and repair is best done locally in my opinion.

To be honest, I have heard really good things about Trollingmotors.net

https://www.trollingmotors.net/

I usually watch the boat dealers for trolling motors that were on new boats that someone bought and wanted an upgraded trolling motor put on it. Can usually save a few bucks that way....:)

I shopped online first, then went into a local Outdoor World and found mine on sale for the same price as one online. No shipping wait, possible loss or damage. I'm glad I did.
