Painting my Starcraft SS. QUESTION about primers

So I've stripped, scraped, and sanded down to the bare shiny aluminum. I'm ready to prime.

I have several cans of Rustoleum Self-Etching primer. Here's a picture of the can: https://i.imgur.com/alyXcIv.jpg

How heavy should this primer layer be? I've read that just the lightest dusting of this stuff is all I need. All advice greatly appreciated.
 
I'd wipe the hull down w/ white vinegar and would then prime. Follow the directions on the can, but as a general rule for any rattle paint, light coats ensuring adequate coverage is better than a thick, heavy, runny paint ... that may not cure properly.
