Looks like the $966 is for them to design it and send the design to a local cutter where you pick up all the pieces and then you put it together in your shop. That would be a great thread to watch. How much are you thinking all the aluminum would cost.

I'm not really sure - this isn't something I'm planning on doing in the immediate future.

Glen-L sells some of the same kits, and they say it's like $3.35/lb or something. That would be $5185.80 plus your welding consumables, which will be pretty spendy also. In all, it's still waaaaay less than a boat from one of the west coast plate-builders.
